I've been really excited to join The Cactus Club, a pop up shop in Woodbridge, Suffolk, UK. Emily Hicks, a local shop owner has leased this fantastic space in Woodbridge to help showcase local independent businesses and I have some of my headpieces and headbands there for sale. There is a wonderful selection of businesses and array of products, so if you are local to the area, go for a visit. My headwear is also still available via my website, so have a browse there if you are further afield for normal shipping.
On Friday the 15th of October I attended the launch party for the shop, with some delicious fizz, rum punch, and the chance to network with other fabulous business owners and meet some lovely customers. It was very special to attend with both my parents and my husband to toast the first time my pieces are on display and for sale in a shop. Woodbridge has a lot of significance for me as a place, I went to school there, I have many friends in the area, family locally, and I even found my wedding dress in one of the town's gorgeous boutiques. So it seemed fitting that my first shop experience is now in Woodbridge.
I had a great chat with Connor Bennett from Radio Suffolk, speaking to him about Lulu Bloom Millinery and the experience and importance of being a part of this special pop up shop venture. If you'd like to have a listen to the Radio Suffolk segment from Wayne Bavin's daily show please click here.
Thank you to those customers who have bought my headwear already in the shop, and I look forward to having more of you on my millinery journey over the coming months.
